Role Summary

In this role, you’ll lead the design, development, and optimization of RF systems for cutting-edge cellular products. From defining system architecture to validating performance across LTE and 5G networks, you’ll ensure our wireless solutions meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and innovation. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you’ll help bring bold ideas to life and redefine how the world connects.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop RF systems for cellular products, working closely with cross-functional teams across the product lifecycle.
- Define and refine RF requirements, system architecture, and performance goals.
- Streamline RF development processes to improve NPI efficiency and quality.
- Manage project timelines and technical issues, coordinating with stakeholders for timely solutions.
- Select and evaluate RF components, balancing performance, cost, and manufacturability.
- Develop and execute RF test strategies for lab and production environments.
- Analyze and optimize RF system performance across cellular bands and standards.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, thermal, and reliability requirements.
Requirement (Must-Haves)
- Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field, specializing in RF/Microwave.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., FCC, CE), industrial network standards (e.g., PTCRB, GCF), mobile telecom specifications (US/EU carriers), and associated certification processes.
- At least 3 years of radio specifications for LTE 4G, NR 5G, and Wi-Fi technologies.
- Proven experience in cellular chip-on-board transceiver radio design, particularly with Qualcomm or MTK platforms.
- Demonstrated experience in Wi-Fi chip-on-board design.
- Experience with board design, system bring-up, multi-radio coexistence, and wireless desense mitigation.
- Experienced in multi-radio coexistence mitigation design strategy.
- Proficiency with spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, communication call boxes, and TRP/TIS measurement.
- Experience with PCB design tools like Orcad, Cadence Allegro, and PADS, with related layout practices.
- Experience with high-volume product development, from initial concept to mass production, with experience in the RMA process.
- Good written and verbal English communication skills.
- Skill in RF link budget and power budget evaluation.
- Basic understanding of common antenna types and specifications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on CPE, mobile phone, cellular product, and WIFI AP.
- Strong ownership, growth mindset, and ability to thrive in ambiguity.
- Experienced with antenna subsystems in multi-radio products.
- Familiarity with other wireless technologies, ex, Bluetooth and GPS radio specifications.
- Knowledge of global LTE 4G and NR 5G band usage across different operators.
