• UniFi Protect is a comprehensive video surveillance solution developed by Ubiquiti targeted at residential homes, small-to-medium businesses and enterprise environments that provides high-quality video, lightning-fast local storage and cameras designed for every deployment.

Must Have Requirements

• B.Sc degree in Computer Science, or related engineering degree
• 3+ years development experience with modern C++
• Basic understanding of electronic circuits
• Experience in embedded Linux systems (ARM processors, cross-build, systemd, fault-tolerance, IPC, debugging, troubleshooting and performance optimization) 
• Postgres, Debian packaging, gRPC, CMake
• Experience with Git (merging, rebasing), ANSI C, build systems and toolchains, debuggers, scripting
• Highly proficient in English (written and spoken)

Experience that is a Major Plus

• Experience with video processing, streaming, encoding/decoding, image processing, tuning, enhancements
• WebRTC knowledge: understanding of the WebRTC (Web Real-Time Communication) technology, APIs, and protocols, signaling mechanisms, media codecs, and transport protocols used for real-time communication over the web
• Media Codecs and Standards: audio and video codecs used in WebRTC, such as H264, H265, AAC and Opus
• Real-Time Communication Concepts: Understand the concepts related to real-time communication, such as media synchronization, jitter, latency, packet loss, and bandwidth management
• Server-side JavaScript and Python
